Brighton Station Improves Passenger Flow with Tensabarrier®

To improve efficiency and passenger flow throughout its self-service ticketing area, Brighton Station contacted Tensator to find a solution that would improve the passenger experience as well as passenger satisfaction.

Studies have shown that frustrations among passengers can build when somebody jumps the queue. Therefore, Tensator® set out to demarcate queuing areas so passengers can clearly see where the queue begins and ends.

Tensator® provided 43 Tensabarrier® retractable banners and barriers with floor socket mounts. Built using marine-grade stainless steel, these Tensabarriers are robust and resistant to corrosion. In order to align with the existing décor, Tensator® provided custom webbing and artwork which included Brighton Station branding.

Brighton station manager, Ben Holbrook said: “The Tensator® products are just the job for us here at the station. Since the new system has been in place, there has been a significant increase in positive feedback regarding the queuing system for our passengers. The Tensator® system is much more organised, as well as being more civilise, than the previous setup.”
